The Calgary Flames PR department has obviously done a great job this season as they were awarded the Dillman Award by the Professional Hockey Writers Association.
As explained on the PHWA website,
"The Dillman Award is voted on annually by PHWA members to honor the hard work of public relations staffs who make the extra effort to help promote and cover the NHL and their teams. It's named in honor of late Minnesota North Stars PR extraordinaire Dick Dillman."
The Calgary Flames are the recipients of the Western Conference Dillman Award while the Florida Panthers won in the Eastern Conference.
Lisa Dillman, daughter of Dick Dillman, was quoted on the Flames website as saying,
"These teams continue to set an impressive standard of excellence and we are very pleased to honour them."
