Adirondack Thunder’s Michael Kirkpatrick Named ECHL Player of the Week

Thunder Forward Michael Kirkpatrick has been named the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week.

Adirondack Thunder Forward Michael Kirkpatrick was named the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for the week of April 4th to 9th according to the Thunder website.

In just three games Kirkpatrick notched 3 goals and 3 assists for 6 points in a pair of losses and a win last week.

Michael led all East Coast Hockey League rookies in goals with 29 which was also good enough to tie him for third in the league for goals. He was second in rookie points with 60.

In his previous four seasons at St. Francis Xavier University, Kirkpatrick scored 39 goals and 63 assists for 102 points in 108 games.

As a result of Kirkpatrick being named Player of the Week, Sher-Wood Hockey will donate a case of pucks on his behalf to an Adirondack youth hockey organization.
