The Flames and Jets will throw down for the third and final time this season as the Jets travel to Calgary Wednesday night. These two have split the season series so far with the Flames winning the last match-up back on December 22nd. The Flames come into this game riding high having just demolished the #2 team in the league, the St. Louis Blues 7-4 on Monday night. These teams are a mirror image of each other having the exact same record (29-35-5) and both have won 2 out of their last 3. They are also in an odd situation where both goalies who lead the team in Save % aren’t even with their teams. Karri Ramo and Connor Hellebuyck each are their teams “top goalie,” yet Ramo is done for the season and Hellebuyck is in the minors. With only 12 games left in the 2015-16 season for both of these teams, pride and jobs are on the line and no doubt they’ll both be clawing and scratching for these 2 points. The Flames are 5-4 against the Jets since they moved back to Winnipeg in 2012 when they are at home in the Saddledome. It’s a battle to stay out of absolute last place in the West and it should be an entertaining contest. Here’s how the Flames and Jets match-up:

The Flames last played on Monday night and surprised everyone by knocking off the St. Louis Blues 7-4. Michael Frolik got his first hat trick of the season and Johnny Gaudreau and Dougie Hamilton each had 3 assists in the contest. Joni Ortio was shaky at times, but he buckled down when needed and the Flames provided him with plenty of offence. Here's the highlights:

The Winnipeg Jets laced ’em up with the Vancouver Canucks on Monday night and beat them soundly 5-2. Matt Dano scored his 3rd and 4th goals of the season, while Tyler Myers added a goal and an assist in the win. Matt Hutchinson back stopped the win stopping 26 of 28 shots that came his way.
