Rate the Flames @ Boston

Calgary Flames went in Boston on a five game losing streak and that streak continued after they fell 2-1 to the Bruins.

Once again Joni Ortio stood on his head to keep Calgary in the game saving 23 of 25 shots, a fair amount of the saves were quality saves. Boston opened the scoring 7 minutes into the first and that’s how it stayed til 5:35 into the third when Jakub Nakladal scored his first career NHL goal. With 3:30 left in the final frame Bergeron scored the GWG for Boston.

My Flames of the Game go to Jakub Nakladal and Garnet Hathaway. Congrats to Jakub for scoring his first NHL goal with a rocket one timer from the point. It only took Garnet Hathaway 13 seconds to make an impact as he got into the face of Zdeno Chara after a whistle. His physical play and energy has him already a fan favourite in only his second game in the NHL game.
