Gaudreau, Monahan and Bouma out tonight

According to the Calgary Flames Twitter account, Johnny Gaudreau, Sean Monahan and Lance Bouma will all sit tonight’s game as healthy scratches. Reportedly all three were late to practice and their punishments will be taking the night off.

This is a curious decision by Bob Hartley and the Flames. Yes, the Leafs are depleted after their trade today, but Calgary is also trying to creep back into the playoffs. Having your top two scorers up in the booth certainly doesn't help the team.

The Flames and Leafs drop the puck in 15 minutes. It will be interesting to see what, if any backlash comes from this disciplinary move if the Flames don't win tonight.
