Rate the Flames @ Philadelphia

Calgary Flames started their 4 game road trip off in Philadelphia and a 5-3 loss.

Calgary started off the game with a Sean Monahan goal 6 minutes in a beautiful passing play where everyone on the ice touched the puck. The Flyer drew even 6 minutes later on Schenn goal and that’s how the first ended up.

The second period was not kind to Calgary at all. Lack lustre play and a 3 goal out burst by Philly and Calgary was down 4-1 after 2. Calgary made a comeback in the third with 2 goals in 50 seconds but couldn’t complete the comeback and the Flyers added an empty netter.

My flames of the game are Garnet Hathaway who was very noticeable with his physical play and didn’t shy away from the scrums. Also Deryk Engelland who was throwing huge hit after huge hit tonight. Truculence by both those guys tonight!
