Calgary Flames
Gamethread: Calgary Flames vs LA Kings
The Flames have a tough battle tonight in California as they take on the LA Kings.
After making a trade move, sending Markus Granlund to Vancouver in exchange for Hunter Shinkaruk, the Flames sent Shinkaruk straight to Stockton. Whether or not we see the 2013 draft pick play in the NHL this season remains to be seen.
As for today’s practice lines, according to Derek Wills on Twitter, Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan are reunited with Jiri Hudler on the top line. Colborne, Backlund, Frolik have chemistry and will make up the second line. Bollig, Bennett, Jooris and Bouma, Stajan, Jones will hopefully create some truculent offense in the third and fourth lines.

Even though Kris Russell skated with the team today at practice, he’s not expected to play as explained by Roger Millions on Twitter earlier today. Which leaves Micheal Ferland as tonight’s scratched player.

It appears from lines Micheal Ferland will be odd man out for #Flames vs #Kings
