Flames come out strong against Anaheim on Family Day only to stumble to the finish line.

On Family Day here in Canada, the Calgary Flames took on the Anaheim Ducks for a big Pacific division matinée tilt.

Calgary came out in the first strong scoring 3 goals from Johnny Gaudreau, Dougie Hamilton and Jiri Hudler and led 3-2 after the opening stanza. After the first 20 minutes it seemed like that strong effort went away. Gave up 3 leads, which seems like a regular thing of late with this team, and also allowed the Ducks to go 3-3 on the power play. Calgary gave up 3 goals in the second and another in the third to fall to Anaheim 6-4.

The only real bright spot in this game was the top line combining for 9 points. Also really enjoyed Jakub Nakladal as well, even though he had limited ice time, when he was out there he was noticeable.

Flames are back in action on Wednesday when Minnesota comes to town.

Note: I understand Nakladal isn't on the list to rank because the site we use for the lists doesn't have him in the database. Apologies in advance.
