Calgary Flames at Dallas Stars (Game 29)

8-3 wins don't result in wholesale changes

Published

on

The Calgary Flames decimated the Anaheim Ducks by a score of eight to three in their last game. They want to continue that dominance tonight against the Dallas Stars who incidentally has some of the worst goaltending in the league. Good omen?

Eight to three victories generally don’t result in wholesale line changes and sure enough everything looks to be close to the same tonight. Alex Chiasson and Michael Ferland took some blows, but they’re both slated to skate tonight (Ferland was left out last game as a precaution).

Chad Johnson continues his reign over the Calgary crease and probably for the foreseeable future as well. He’s been close to dominance while Brian Elliott has been pretty awful, so it’s to be expected. Two of the goals Johnson gave up were in garbage time and one was on the penalty kill, so the three goals given up is a bit of a misnomer.
