Well, this was unexpected:
Johnny Gaudreau says he's ready to play tonight and is expected to be in the lineup vs. the #NHLDucks! pic.twitter.com/643fqatfEt
— Calgary Flames (@NHLFlames) December 4, 2016
Gaudreau has been out since mid-November after taking 21 slashes on the hand during a win over the Minnesota Wild. The star forward was supposed to miss 4-6 weeks, but is apparently ready to go after only 3 weeks. Gaudreau broke a finger and had it surgically repaired and is back sooner than expected. This is good news for the Flames seeing they are having a hard time scoring goals.
