Calgary Flames Recall Mark Jankowski from Stockton

In an interesting turn of events, Mark Jankowski has been called up by the Flames from Stockton. It’s almost as if they read our writer’s roundtable talking about him.

Jankowski’s callup likely means that an injury to Kris Versteeg which occurred in practice on Thursday is serious enough for him to miss more time.

Jankowski has played in 13 games for the Heat this season, tallying 12 points. There’s some discussion that he could be playing tonight against the Bruins but it seems unlikely. Will probably be either Sunday against Philly or Monday against the Islanders, but we’ll have to wait and see when the lineups are released.
