What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas! At least that’s what businessman Bill Foley, the sports team owning Maloof family and Las Vegas visitors and residents hope.

On June 22nd, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman officially announced possibly the worst kept secret in sports. That the City of Las Vegas Nevada was awarded an expansion NHL hockey team. Everyone on the planet ‘unofficially’ knew it already. After all, they had just finished building a $375 million arena that seats around 20,000 people. Just guessing it wasn’t for David Copperfield or Sigfried & Roy.

Tonight was another big milestone in the franchise’s history. The official team name and logo were revealed for the first time.

The team name will be the “Vegas Golden Knights” and the logo is shown below.
