Arizona Coyotes at Calgary Flames (Game 18)

The Flames go for two straight sans Gaudreau

Fresh off of a One to nothing shutout, the Calgary Flames head back to the Saddledome to take on the league-worst Arizona Coyotes. Chad Johnson mans the net tonight after His stellar performance last night. Time will tell whether this is a wise decision as starting the same goalie on back to backs is generally a bad idea.

Johnny Gaudreau will be out a while with a broken finger. He’ll be replaced by Linden Vey because replacing your lone goal scorer from last night with another offensively minded player in Hunter Shinkaruk would apparently be stupid. By all means, play the guy who can’t skate instead.

The defense remains the same tonight. The Coyotes aren't a stellar team, but Vegas odds favour them tonight for some reason or another (but barely). Perhaps that's because they haven't played since Saturday and will be well rested against a traveling Flames team. That said, it would be disappointing to lose to a team as bad as Arizona is right now.
