Preview: Calgary Flames vs Vancouver Canucks

The Flames final tune up of the preseason takes them on the road to Vancouver to lock horns with the Canucks.

The Calgary Flames will say goodbye to the preseason tonight when they take the ice in Vancouver to take on the Canucks. The Flames come into this contest all square at 3-3. The Canucks, meanwhile, come into this game at 1-2-2 so far this preseason. These two teams have already met once so far with the Flames winning 2-1 back on September 28th. Calgary is looking to carry the momentum of their last game into this contest and the regular season. Vancouver is looking to get back on track and will try and get it’s second win of the preseason tonight.

The Flames last played on Wednesday night and it took a shootout, but they were able to knock off the Arizona Coyotes 2-1. Matthew Tkachuk had both goals for the Flames and Brian Elliott stopped 21 of 22 shots. Here’s the highlights.

Vancouver’s last skate wasn’t very successful as they dropped a 4-2 decision to the Arizona Coyotes. Jacob Markstrom gave up 4 goals on 37 shots and the Canucks got goals from Markus Granlund (1) and Ben Hutton (1). Here are the highights.
