Calgary Flames at Chicago Blackhawks [Game 7]

Published

on

Fresh off of yet another loss, the Calgary Flames head to the United Center to take on the Chicago Blackhawks. The Flames have three points in six games and need to start turning things around sooner rather than later. Chicago is normally a tough task, but they've struggled in their own right.

The lines have been juggled a bit. Alex Chiasson draws in on the right side of Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan while Kris Versteeg lines up on the left side of Sam Bennett and Troy Brouwer. The bottom lines of Lance Bouma, Mikael Backlund and Michael Frolik and Micheal Ferland, Matt Stajan and Freddie Hamilton we're used in parts of last game.

The defensive pairings remain the same while Brian Elliott takes over for Chad Johnson. Johnson was hardly spectacular and they'll turn to Elliott for both of the back to back games. Statistics show that playing a goalie on both games of a back to back is a bad idea and these pairs are questionable, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
