St. Louis Blues at Calgary Flames [Game 6]

Published

on

The Flames take to the ice after yet another loss as they take to the ice in the Scotiabank Saddledome. They face a tough challenge as they take on a quality team in the St. Louis Blues. On paper, this looks like a pretty big mismatch for the Flames.

The Flames will be without Matthew Tkachuk as he takes to the press box in favour of Freddy Hamilton. Greg Gulutzan has stated that he wants Tkachuk to watch a game from the box, so this is very much scheduled. Still, Freddy doesn’t exactly have the same offensive prowess as Tkachuk and more than a few people have questioned where the offense is going to come from.

In a considerably more peculiar move, Brett Kulak Will also be scratched for Dennis Wideman. Wideman will play along side Mark Giordano who has stuggled of late. Perhaps they’re hoping he can provide some offense, but playing the slow-footed defenseman next to the struggling franchise defenseman against a team like the Blues seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
