Calgary Flames Make 8 More Cuts

The roster size continues to shrink as cuts are made

NHL: Preseason-Edmonton Oilers at Calgary Flames Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports

The Flames made a decent sized wave of cuts this afternoon sending eight players packing from training camp. The camp total is now down to 41.

The Flames sent six players to Stockton, released one, and sent one to the CHL.

The players cut were as follows:

Stockton:

  1. D Rasmus Andersson
  2. RW Austin Carroll
  3. D Roman Dyukov
  4. C Ryan Lomberg
  5. LW Andrew Mangiapane
  6. RW Hunter Smith

Released:

  1. C Luke Adam

CHL

  1. G Tyler Parsons assigned to London Knights (OHL)

There are 4 goalies, 15 defencemen, and 22 forwards remaining at camp. Puck drops tonight at 7pm against the Jets.
