The Flames made another roster move today and it involved Linden Vey. Vey was placed on waivers last week and went through unclaimed so he returns to the Flames. He will be assigned to Stockton and begin his 2016-17 season with the Heat.

In other Flames news Brad Treliving announced the Assistant Captains for the 2016-17 campaign. Sean Monahan will return his role as an “A” and somewhat surprisingly, new comer Troy Brouwer will wear the other “A.” Monahan and Dennis Wideman shared Assistant duties last season, but Brouwer will get the nod over Wideman (rightfully so) this year. They join Mark Giordano who will remain the Flames Captain.

And finally, here’s a link to the Calgary Flames website where they sat down with Brad Treliving to talk about the Johnny Gaudreau signing.
