Friday Fan Poll: The Healthy Scratches

Welcome to the first edition of hopefully many Friday Fan Polls to come. As the name obviously explains, every week we'll be posting a question on the minds of Flames fans and we want to here your opinion. Please vote in the poll below for this week's question.

Week 1: The Healthy Scratches

Since the demotion of Joni Ortio to the Stockton Heat, the Flames have been rolling with a 23 man roster which includes 14 forwards and 7 defenseman. This means that every game, two forwards and one defenseman must watch the game from the press box.

Barring injury the Flames lineup typically consists of three healthy scratches. The players that have most consistently rotated between the press box and the ice are: F Josh Jooris, F Mason Raymond, F Brandon Bollig, D Ladislav Smid, and D Deryk Engelland. One of the three forwards listed is inserted in the lineup, while Smid and Engelland have rotated on a regular basis since Smid's return from injury.
