The Calgary Flames return home after their mini road trip (1 game) to battle the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Flames have been very inconsistent since snapping their home win streak and they need to start winning to begin regaining some ground in the West. Tampa comes into this contest playing a similar brand of hockey so this should be a fairly even contest. The schedule makers set the Flames up for a much easier lot of games in 2016 as opposed to what they ended with, so taking advantage of that kindness would be key. Tampa took the first game of the 2 game series back in November with a 3-1 win. In injury news, the Flames will be without struggling forward Jiri Hudler. He is listed as "day to day" with a lower body injury. Here's how the Flames and Bolts match-up:

Calgary last took the ice Saturday night and earned a 4-0 shutout win over the Colorado Avalanche. The Flames never really let Colorado get settled and Karri Ramo handled everything that was sent his way. At times Colorado looked a little too concerned with getting Jarome Iginla his 600th goal and the Flames took full advantage of that mindset. Here’s the highlights:

Tampa Bay last played on Saturday against the Minnesota Wild winning 3-2 in a shootout. That marked the end of a 6 game home stand for the Lightning. Tonight starts a 4 game Western swing for the warm weathered franchise. Here’s the highlights from the Minnesota game:
