The Flames announced today that Jiri Hudler will not play Tuesday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Hudler is listed as Day to Day by the Flames with a " lower body injury." Hudler sustained the injury in Saturday night's 4-0 win over the Colorado Avalanche. His ice time was limited in the and he was noticeably abscent from the power play before leaving the game. Hudler missed practice this morning and the Hartley told the media after the morning skate that Hudler would be out against the Lightning. Mason Raymond will get the nod in Hudler's absence.
Hudler is struggling so far this season. His ice time was still at his average before Saturday, but he had been dropped down to the third line. So far this season Hudler has 20 points (5 goals and 15 assists) and hasn't been a factor as of late. Mason Raymond, a healthy scratch lately, has 4 points (3 goals, 1 assist) in 23 games this season.
Calgary will host the Lightning Tuesday night at 9 PM ET.
