Gamethread: Calgary Flames vs. Columbus Blue Jackets (44/82)

It’s Hartley vs Torts again for another season. This time, John Tortorella is head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Calgary Flames are in town to hopefully earn their first win on the road trip. Even though both Torts and Hartley had good things to say about each other, we’ll see soon enough if they actually meant what they said during tonight’s tilt.

Until then, you can read up on all the latest news about the projected lineups on the Flames website.

Michael Ferland starts on the first line again tonight while Sam Bennett, Mikael Backlund, and Michael Frolik will back them up on the second offensive line. Brandon Bollig slots in tonight on the fourth line and it looks as though Josh Jooris and Mason Raymond will be sitting this one out.

On defense, Mark Giordano and T.J. Brodie will be the first line of defense while Deryk Engelland will be paired with Dennis Wideman.

Karri Ramo gets the start in net.

One last good piece of news is that Lance Bouma seems close to returning.
