Gamethread: The Battle Of Alberta Continues…

It's the 4th installment of the BOA between the Calgary Flames and the Edmonton Oilers.

Let's recap, shall we?

Game 1, Calgary lost on October 17th to Edmonton in a 5-2 decision.

Game 2, on October 31st, a final goal by Michael Frolik edged the Flames over the Oilers 5-4.

Game 3, another Flames win by Johnny Gaudreau on home ice as the score ended up 5-2.

So the Calgary Flames are up 2 games to 1 against the BOA contender the Edmonton Oilers and they're looking for another win against their closest rival again tonight in Edmonton. If the Flames win, they'll take this years series even though they have one more BOA before the end of the season.

Pat Steinberg on twitter mentioned that Kris Russell had a maintenance day yesterday, but it seems that he will play tonight, leaving Ladislav Smid to sit on the sidelines.

As well, Derek Wills mentioned on twitter earlier that it looks like Jiri Hudler will be out of tonight’s lineup.
