The Flames could use a break from their divisional opponents seeing they are struggling lately against the West and Pacific. Their reward? The first place Florida Panthers. Some reprieve. Calgary and Florida last laced them up on November 10th where Florida outlasted the Flames 4-3. Florida comes in 14 games above .500 and having just ended a 12 game winning streak with an OT loss on Monday. The Flames are currently on a 2 game skid and are slowly sinking in the West. Calgary gets veteran winger Jiri Hudler back for this contest, but they lose Lance Bouma for a few weeks with a lower body injury. Aaron Ekblad appears to be a game time decision for the Panthers as they haven't announced whether or not last year's Calder Trophy winner has recovered from an upper body injury. Here's how both teams match-up:

Calgary last played Monday night and dropped a tough 5-4 decision to the San Jose Sharks. The Flames were turnover machines and the Sharks capitalized on the Flames mistakes. Despite the 5 goals, Karri Ramo didn't play badly and Monahan, Ferland and Bennett each broke out of some massive slumps. Here's the highlights:

Florida's season high 12 game winning streak came to an end Monday night during a 3-2 OT loss to the Vancouver Canucks. Despite the loss, the ageless wonder that is Jaromir Jagr continued his amazing season getting a helper on 1 of Florida's 2 goals. Here's the highlights:
