Preseason Game Thread #4: Calgary Flames vs Vancouver Canucks

It's the second game in two nights, with a third on the way tomorrow. Leggo!

The preseason games are now coming fast, furious, and neverending. The good news: it's hockey! The bad news: these games remain as meaningless, and likely chaotic, as ever. But the good news: we're edging closer towards the proper lineup!

Tonight’s exhibition game treats the Calgary Flames to their first meeting of the Vancouver Canucks sine eliminating them this past April; it also welcomes the Canucks back to the last arena they played meaningful hockey in.

It also treats us to a lineup filled mostly with veterans likely to be on the team, and just a handful of prospects. Of particular note is Paul Byron, who is finally healthy enough to play his first game since March (and really, the last time he was consistently healthy was February).

Here is your projected Flames lineup, including a handful of players who played last night in Denver (Bennett, Shore, Ferland, and Grant). It does look like a mostly full, and very fun group:

Calgary Flames
Left Wing Center Right Wing
Johnny Gaudreau Sean Monahan Jiri Hudler
Lance Bouma Sam Bennett Michael Frolik
Paul Byron Drew Shore Garnet Hathaway
Micheal Ferland Derek Grant Kenny Agostino
Left Defence Right Defence
Mark Giordano Dougie Hamilton
Kris Russell Dennis Wideman
Patrick Sieloff Deryk Engelland
Goalies
Jonas Hiller
Mason McDonald

Hiller is expected to go the full 60.

The game can be watched on Sportsnet One!
