The preseason games are now coming fast, furious, and neverending. The good news: it's hockey! The bad news: these games remain as meaningless, and likely chaotic, as ever. But the good news: we're edging closer towards the proper lineup!
Tonight's exhibition game treats the Calgary Flames to their first meeting of the Vancouver Canucks sine eliminating them this past April; it also welcomes the Canucks back to the last arena they played meaningful hockey in.
It also treats us to a lineup filled mostly with veterans likely to be on the team, and just a handful of prospects. Of particular note is Paul Byron, who is finally healthy enough to play his first game since March (and really, the last time he was consistently healthy was February).
Here is your projected Flames lineup, including a handful of players who played last night in Denver (Bennett, Shore, Ferland, and Grant). It does look like a mostly full, and very fun group:
