Another restricted free agent down!

Of the group of Flames RFAs qualified, most have been settled: either they're NHLers with new deals, arbitration cases mostly settled, leaving for Germany, college kids who accepted their qualifying offers, or... Turner Elson.

Elson isn't likely to play in the NHL this season, but if he can continue building on his most recent years, he'll hopefully have a good AHL season. He's a worthy gamble on what projects to be, at most, a bottom-six player.

One less contract for the Flames to worry about: now it's down to just Paul Byron and Micheal Ferland.
