Calgary Flames
2015 NHL Draft: Order of selection, start time and TV coverage for Round 1
It's time to decide the futures of a bunch of 18-year-olds who get no say whatsoever.
Today's the day! It's the day every rebuilding team looks forward to. That is, uh, the ones that don't randomly go on a wild shooting percentage spree, make the playoffs, win a round, and play a month past their expiration date… Man. That was fun.
Okay, so this is the second-most anticipated day every rebuilding team (including ones that make the playoffs out of nowhere, because they’re awesome) looks forward to. The Calgary Flames don’t have a high pick this year, so no Sean Monahans or Sam Bennetts are likely to join the organization. But at 15th overall, they’ll still get a pretty good player. And while he probably won’t make an immediate impact, down the line, he could end up paying massive dividends for his new team.
After all, the second round of the playoffs was fun, but it'd be even more awesome to go further. That's what the draft is about: building your team to try and get that Cup. It all starts tonight.
