Something From Nothing - Flames Vs Ducks Game 4 Preview

The Flames have taken something from nothing all season - surely not again?

Anaheim Ducks @ Calgary Flames - Round 2, Game 4 - 7:30pm MT (9:30ET/6:30PT)

Sportsnet, NBCSN

Give me the flammable life, I'm cold as a match, ready to strike. So here I go...

Here lies a city on fire, singing along, the arsonist choir. Now here I go...

It started with a spark, and burned into the dark, now here I go...

Oh sweet ignition be my fuse, you have no choice you have to choose. Bid farewell to yesterday, say goodbye I'm on my way....

- Foo Fighters, Something From Nothing

I'm going to stop singing now and get on with the preview. Fitting, no? You think there's nothing left. The Flames find something from it.

There was a very strong possibility of a series sweep. Then Calgary did the third period thing, and the heart just starts to overrule the head. Can they? No, they can't. But...can they? No. They can't.

Are you sure? Because I'm not. They need one game in the Pond. Just one. They can't do it. Can they? Goddamnit Calgary, be awful or brilliant. I can't handle both in such a short space of time.

Anyway, we worry about that on Sunday. There's a job to do tonight, on home ice, where the Flames are good. Very good. Go do the thing.

Potential Starting Lineups (Subject To Change)

Lance Bouma should make his first NHL playoff appearance, replacing Markus Granlund on the third line. However, Granlund was also on the ice with Drew Shore and Micheal Ferland, so that's something to keep an eye on. David Schlemko missed Thursday's practice, but he was on ice this morning, so expect him to be good to go.

As for the Ducks, Bruce Boudreau played with his lines during practice on Thursday. Tomas Fleischmann joined the third line, and Jiri Sekac was on the fourth line. Both could be expected to go.
