Flames at Canucks [Stanley Cup Playoff Game #5 Thread]

Well Calgary fans, this is it. The Flames have the chance to put away the Canucks in game five tonight with a win. The victory in this series would mark the first time that the Flames advanced past the first round since 2003-2004 when they went to the Stanley Cup Finals.

The story for the Flames has been their scoring depth. 14 different players have registered at least one point through this series. Bob Hartley has decided that there's no reason to mess with success and is leaving the roster as is. The debuts of basically the entire Adirondack roster will have to wait.

Meanwhile it sounds as if the Canucks will make some lineup changes. Ryan Miller is starting in place of Eddie Lack while Sven Baertschi draws in for Linden Vey. Miller vs. Hiller won’t be confusing at all, right?

With any luck the Flames will be able to close this out tonight and they can start looking towards Anaheim. It would certainly be nice to advance quickly so that the Ducks don’t get too much additional rest. Realistically though Calgary fans would happily accept any advancement at all.
