Flames at Blues [Game #78 Thread]

Published

on

The Calgary Flames can smell playoffs as they travel to St. Louis to take on the Blues. The Blues are currently third in the west which apparently makes them a very good hockey team. To combat this fact, the Calgary Flames have decided to scratch Michael Ferlund and dress Brandon Bollig.

The Flames have won their two most recent games in completely opposite fashions. They completely dominated the Predators while they took advantage of some terrible goalie play against the Stars. This means that they're in control of their own playoff destiny and a win here would keep it that way.

For the Blues, the only think they have left to fight for is playoff position. They're firmly in the playoffs with 99 points while the Blackhawks are right behind them with 98, so this game could mean home ice advantage for them. Expect them to play some very inspired hockey. They do take quite a few penalties which could play in the Flames favor.

Puck drop is at the NHL's version of 6:00 M.S.T. The game can be caught on Sportsnet in the Calgary area. Those without the luxury of a television broadcast can listen to the game on 960 CFAN. Feel free to venture over to St. Louis Game Time for all of your Blues news during and after the game.
