For those unaware, the Calgary Flames have this forward who is an offensive juggernaut, but some considered him to be too diminutive. He lit the league on fire, but that wasn't enough for some people. Even the team president expressed concern that he might be too small to play at the moment.
Okay, so that league was the OHL and that player was Sam Bennett. Who else were you expecting? Bennett is playing in his first Stanley Cup Playoff series and only his fourth career game. Despite this lack of NHL experience he was able to score his first career goal as he put one past Eddie Lack. The goal came two minutes and 14 seconds into the third period.
This is an exciting development for Flames fans and this should be the first of many more to come. Bennett has played well so far this series and it's nice to see his work pay off. The goal gave the Flames a three to one lead.
