Kris Russell misses tonight’s game against the Boston Bruins with an unspecified upper-body injury. Whether this is the hand injury he sustained in the 2-1 win over Chicago coming back to haunt him remains to be seen, but it’s a tough break for him if that’s the case.

Deryk Engelland takes his place in the lineup tonight, with Dennis Wideman moving up to partner Dougie Hamilton. Engelland will line up alongside Ladislav Smid on the third defensive pairing.

Hopefully it's nothing too serious and this is more precautionary, because as much of a liability Russell has been this year, he has been getting better in recent games.
