Happy New Year! The Calgary Flames close out 2015 by hosting the Pacific leading LA Kings on New Year's Eve. The Kings, winners of 3 straight, come into the Saddledome to face a Calgary team that lost for the first time at home in 11 games. This is Calgary's first look at the Kings this season and this ends a brutal stretch for the Flames. December's slate of games was extremely tough and so far the Flames are 9-3. 10-3 would be a much better look finishing up the New Year and their 4 game home stand. The Kings will be looking to pad their lead in the Pacific while the Flames will look to get the 2 points back that they lost to Anaheim. Here's how they match-up:

Calgary Flames LA Kings

The Flames last took to the ice on Monday night and put their franchise record 11 game home winning streak on the line. The Anaheim Ducks came in and ended that streak with a 1-0 snoozer. Calgary managed just 14 shots in the loss as the Ducks slowed down Calgary’s fast paced offense. Here’s the highlights:

The Kings won their 3rd straight with a convincing 5-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers. Johnathan Quick made 42 saves in the win. Here’s the highlights:
