TSN reported in November that Gillies may require surgery and sure enough, the Flames announced today that he will be done for the season. Subsequent Tweets from Brad Treliving and the Flames say Gillies should be ready for development camp. Hopefully this doesn't set Gillies back too far in his development, but in the end it's probably for the best.
