The Calgary Flames hosted the Edmonton Oilers last night in a 5-3 win. The Flames got progressively better with each passing period and took an important win.

Johnny Gaudreau and Mark Giordano led the team with two goals each while Matt Stajan added the extra goal. With assists by Markus Granlund, Dougie Hamilton, Jiri Hudler, Mikael Backlund, Joe Colborne, Dennis Wideman, and two assist by T.J. Brodie, there was a lot to celebrate last night. It was a wide range of points being given out to a lot of players. Well, at least they’re sharing the hockey love.

With a scoreless first period, a comeback by the Oilers in the second, and the final nail-in-the-coffin third period comeback by the Flames in the last 20 minutes, the home team took their 11th consecutive home with at the Saddledome.
