Last night, during the Capital’s reign over the Ottawa Senators, Tom Wilson made an odd hit on Sen’s Curtis Lazar, sending Lazar to the ice and almost knocking the helmet off the young forward’s head. But was it a head shot? I’ve seen the video and, depending on the angle, it’s a tough call to make even though the refs gave Wilson a 10-minute match penalty.

Florida Panther’s veteran, Jaromir Jagr, was scratched due to the flu during the Panthers vs. Islanders game on December 15th.

Adam Lowry was sent down to the AHL Manitoba Moose yesterday. Some seem to think it’s a signal to other players because the Jets have been taking a tumble lately, Lowry himself earning a meager 1 goal and 7 assists in 31 games.
