GameThread: Calgary Flames Host Buffalo Sabres

Will the Flames be able to make it 8 in a row tonight at home?

As you can see in the Calgary Flames projected lineup, Karri Ramo gets the start in net tonight while David Jones gets bumped up to the first line with Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan. Markus Granlund hovers on the second line with Sam Bennett and Jiri Hudler, while Mason Raymond, Mikael Backlund, and Michael Frolik make up the third line. The fourth line will consist of Brandon Bollig, Matt Stajan, and Joe Colborne. Defensive pairings include Mark Giordano and T.J. Brodie up front, Dennis Wideman and Dougie Hamilton will back them up, and Ladislav Smid and Deryk Engelland will be the final blue line defense.

Mony is right – they need to keep the pace of the past few games at home and start working that same magic on the road. The team has two more chances to perfect their home ice advantage, starting right now against the Buffalo Sabres!

Go Flames Go!

EDIT: Sudden lineup changes!

Jonas Hiller gets the start over Karri Ramo, now, and Micheal Ferland replaces Jiri Hudler, who has the flu.

So this was all rather sudden and unexpected – Hiller especially, as he's been too sick to even practice the past couple of days, including this morning.

… Well, go Flames!
