Last night, the Flames played well enough to come out with two points, but fell to the Arizona Coyotes in overtime. That was the first overtime loss of the season.
Tonight, the Flames ventured to San Jose to take on the Sharks in a game that didn't require overtime. In a 4-0 hole going into the once-famous third period, the Flames got a couple of goals, but were never really in the game thanks to terrible special teams. The powerplay went 0-3 and the penalty kill failed twice in two chances.
Congratulations to both Markus Granlund and Micheal Ferland on their first (NHL) goals of the season. And welcome back Jonas Hiller, for better or for worse.
Same deal as before: thumbs up the players who you think had good games, and thumbs down the ones who need to be better. Feel free to share your thoughts on tonight's game below!
