#Flames website has updated their injured reserve…Brodie activated, Ferland placed on IR. Calgary now at 23 on the active roster.

...and to prove it...
T.J. Brodie will be a game time decision tonight after being activated from the injured reserve. The defenceman, who has missed the opening of the season with a hand injury, returns to a side desperate for the boost that he could provide. He won't solve all the problems, but he's a big piece of the Calgary puzzle, and it's great to have him back.
However, for every positive, there must seemingly be a negative, and that comes in the shape of Micheal Ferland. The forward's MCL sprain is not going to heal itself, and he will spend some time out to recover.
As Pat Steinberg says, the Flames are now at a full active roster of 23 players. When Ferland returns, somebody will have to be either moved, or sent to Stockton. The favourite would appear to be Derek Grant, but if he can play his way into a long stint in the side, all the better.
