Rate the Flames: Flames @ New York Rangers (1-4 L)

Who stood out and who should be left out after that performance?

Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

The Flames took on the New York Rangers tonight, going down with a 1-4 loss in Madison Square Garden. Look out for our recap shortly, but in the meantime, here's something new.

As part of some new things we're trying out, it's time to allow you, the M&G reading public, the chance to tell us who you think was the player of the game, and who you weren't impressed with.

Here's how it works. If you liked a player's performance, click on the thumbs up or + icon. If you didn't, click on the thumbs down or - icon. (I'll be honest, I don't know which is going to show up, first night teething problems may be inevitable).

We're just trying to get an idea of who you like and who you don't, that's all. We like audience participation.

The player with the most upvotes will be considered as the M&G MVP (although they probably won't be the same as the Flame of the game in the recap), and the player with the most downvotes will be made to write a 500 word essay on what they've done wrong and why they should do better. Maybe.
