Off-Day Links: LOL Canucks

The Canucks had the worst third period ever and Rich Peverley is going to be okay.

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Spor

I went to bed when the Canucks were winning 3-0 against the New York Islanders. When I woke up, the final score was 7-4. In favour of the Islanders. Lighthouse Hockey has more about that debacle.

Seriously, seven goals in a period. Seven goals in a period. I still can't figure out how that happened. Oh yeah, but Eddie Lack is totally better than Roberto Luongo.

Last night Rich Peverley collapsed on the bench in the first period of the Stars-Blue Jackets game. It was terrifying—think Jiri Fischer—and the arena was stunned for a long time as medical personnel tended to him in the Stars dressing room; Peverley was ultimately rushed to hospital and is going to be fine, but the game was postponed (Columbus was up 1-0 when it happened). Peverley had surgery to correct an irregular heartbeat at the beginning of the season.

SBN NHL has video, but I'd take a deep breath before watching it. All our best to Pevs.
