Flames Winning Streak at Five

Ed Mulholland-USA TODAY Sports

The Flames extended their present winning streak to five games by defeating the home Chicago Wolves in a rare Wednesday afternoon game 4-1.  Adirondack capitalized on the power play with three goals on six opportunities - including two from Emile Poirier (his 7th and 8th goals of the season).

Joni Ortio made 30 saves in goal for his fourteenth win of the season.  Adirondack is now 18-10-1 and is in fourth place in the 15 team Western Conference.

The Flames now head back east, playing in Rochester Friday before returning home Saturday night to play rival Utica.
