Late Saturday night/early Sunday morning, the Flames announced Ben Street‘s callup from the Abbotsford Heat. Street is seventh in AHL scoring with 17 goals and 16 assists in 31 games this season and was named to the AHL All-Star team. The Coquitlam, BC native recorded one assist in eight games with the Flames at the start of the year before being sent down.

David Jones, Curtis Glencross, Kris Russell, and Blair Jones are all currently injured—David Jones hasn’t been placed on the IR yet—so it’s likely Street might be around for a little while. He’s expected to appear in the Flames’ next couple of games against the Hurricanes and Predators.
