Joni Ortio was the story of the game as the Finnish goaltender led the Flames to a 4-1 victory against the Vancouver Canucks' prospects.
Despite giving up the first goal, the Flames were able to rally around the strong play of their goaltender (and, according to the bench, a decisively won Michael Ferland fight) and come back with four straight goals. Dylan Smoskowitz (Smoskowitz!) got the Flames on the board while John Ramage scored the game winner. A quick pair of goals from Eric Roy, making his debut, and Sean Monahan, the beneficiary of a two-on-one with Ferland, sealed the Canucks' fate. Ortio stopped 39 of 40 shots, including several highlight reel saves.
The Flames will finish the Young Stars tournament with a game against the San Jose Sharks' prospects. The Sharks have lost both of their games, falling 3-2 to the Canucks and 5-3 to the Winnipeg Jets' prospects. They'll be looking to go home with a win, but may be in tough as 18th overall pick Mirco Mueller may not play due to injury.
Max Reinhart sits tonight, capping off a great tournament with one goal and two points in two games. Linden Penner, Zach Davies, and Ryan Culkin are the other scratches, while Laurent Brossoit gets the start.
Here are the projected lineups for tonight's game, which will be streamed live on the Flames' site:

Andy Taranto - Sean Monahan - Emile Poirier
