Published

on

After St. Cloud State was eliminated from the Frozen Four last night, Jay Feaster acted quickly to lock up Ben Hanowski, one of the two NCAA forwards he received from the Pittsburgh Penguins in return for Jarome Iginla. Hanowski, who captained St. Cloud to the NCAA semi-finals, had 17 goals and 31 points in 37 games this season

The terms of Hanowski's entry-level deal are two years at $810,000 per season.

Jay Feaster told Calgary sports radio station the Fan 960 that Hanowski will join the Flames this season rather than playing out the remainder of the season in the AHL with the Abbotsford Heat.
