List of UFA’s the Calgary Flames Should Target On Friday

Friday is Free Agent Madness and the Flames have just opened up some cap space. Now clearly the class isn’t of the same quality of the one that brought the Flames Alex Tanguay and Olli Jokinen. There’s also some holes to fill if the Flames are planning on resembling the concept of competitiveness. So who can fit into the lineup and the cap space? What needs are filled by various free agents? Most importantly- who’s a player we can afford to pay who will contribute at an NHL level and not ruin the Flames cap space several years down the road?

These are the hard hitting questions that my list after the jump will aim to address. These are the questions that on Friday, GM Jay Feaster is required to answer by calling some of the following UFA's and their agents and telling them how much he's willing to open the checkbook for.
