In what is probably becoming the most confusing story since Olli Jokinen to the New York Rangers, Robyn Regehr may have been traded to Buffalo. If you're keeping count, this is like the third time news of this story has peaked.
More after the jump.
The supposed deal, which was reported by HockeyBuzz, is Robyn Regehr and Ales Kotalik for a 2012 second rounder, Paul Byron, and Chris Butler. Of course, since then it was taken off the site, then reported by Bob McKenzie on Twitter as being near complete.

When, or if, deal is done, hearing Paul Byron, Chris Butler and 2nd is what BUF will send to CGY for Regher/Kotalik. Not yet official #tsn
So at this point, it's hard to gauge what's actually happening here. Is he traded? Are the Flames trying to get more? Trying to get rid of more? Nobody's really sure. The only thing for certain is that this is becoming a complete mess, regardless of the potential return.
We'll have actual analysis and reactions after the trade is official and complete.
