It's Here At Last! Flames vs. Habs Heritage Classic Preview

Complete Coverage >

The day Flames and Canadiens fans have all been waiting for is finally here, and, despite all the excitement surrounding the NHL's second Heritage Classic, both teams will have to play like it's business as usual, as the two points are crucial to the playoff hopes of each.

Les Habs and the Calgary Flames have a rich history with two Stanley Cup Finals between them in the 80's and splitting the wins, adding just a little bit of history and fire. To make things more intense, Michael Cammalleri is a former goal scoring Flame, who added a touch that the home team hasn't seen since. Alongside Roman Hamrlik, you have a few semi-recent Flames who once knew the city and could be looking to show something to the club that they once belonged to.

Enjoy the game, and keep up in the gamethread, where I (Arik) will be now that I'm not on the road. Hayley is at the game in the pressbox and experiencing internet problems, so she'll be in and out.
