Let's go with an "only good news" intro to the gamethread:
- Jarome Iginla has made a habit of scoring against the Preds during his career. This season is no different, with the Captain scoring 3 goals and 6 points in the first three games. He's been on the cusp of breaking out recently, and this may be the team to do it against.
- Related: as mentioned previously, Barry Trotz prefers to feed some checkers to the wolves to free up his scorers for favorable match-ups. That works just fine for Jarome. However, Sutter will have the choice tonight to send Iginla out against the Goc line (as Trotz would prefer) or target Nashville's first unit which features a couple of rookies (Hornqvist and O'Reilly), due to the injury to Jason Arnott.
- The Langkow line remains intact tonight, which is good news...for the power play. That unit created all five Calgary scoring chances with the man advantage versus the Pens and were instrumental in scoring the Flames only goal that night. More please.
C'mon Goals! Let's go Goals! GOOOOAALLLLS...
