Well, I have mixed feelings about this one.
On one hand, he was singularly the most frustrating Calgary Flame I have ever watched play hockey. He had all the skill and talent in the world, and a monstrous frame to complement it - but he'd only use it 12.8% of the time. On the other hand, when he decided to use those skills he looked like an elite hockey forward.
For $1.5 million, the Wings have him for one year. On their 3rd line.
I can't decide if I would have enjoyed seeing that 12.8% on the 3rd line in a flaming C?
That's Primeau money. That's *gasp* a bargain. AND he wanted to play here.
Did the flames make a mistake not grabbing Big Bert up at this "discount"?
